Escape the masses on this small, personalized Exclusive Wonderful World of Water Eco Jeep Tour, with a maximum of only eight people.
The duration at each stop will vary on this tour, as it will be up to the group that day. That's why we call this tour "personalized"—because it IS! Explore the beautiful coastline, bathe in a natural jacuzzi, and snorkel in pristine waters during this excursion that's designed for nature and off-road enthusiasts.
After climbing into the back of your open air Jeep vehicle (two benches of four facing each other) you will drive through the wide-open planes of the “mini desert,” where you'll visit one of the ancient caves that pocket the rocky northern coastline and discover some of the island's intense geological history. Your guide will take you to several isolated bays where big breakers crash into the coral cliffs, and exotic birds like herons, frigatebirds, and Caracaras can be spotted.
There are many highlights on this exclusive Wonderful World of Water Eco Jeep Tour. Some others include: Kueba di Brua, the largest of the caves, with several bat inhabited chambers and impressive stalagmite and stalactite formations. Listen to your guide create unique music! Former slaves on the island used to use the cave for voodoo rituals. Boka Ascension is a gorgeous isolated bay, home to herons and gulls, and one of the few bays where sea turtles can frequently be spotted from land. Supladó is a natural Jacuzzi, where seawater and foam are sprayed through a chute into the air, displaying colorful fountains and rainbows. You can bathe in the shallow warm water surrounding the Supladó and watch the spectacular show from close by.
When you've had a look around you'll be served a lazy picnic lunch before getting back in the Land Cruiser and moving off further into Curacao's wilderness. Your tour continues to Watamula, located in the most extreme northwest point of the island. The air wheezes out of the porous coral rock, sounding like a gentle sleeping giant. About a hundred meters north is Playa Gepi, which has a waterspout that shoots water into the air producing fine spray and a dazzling fountain.
We end this full-day tour at Lagun Beach. Enjoy the colorful fish, sea turtles and beautiful coral formations, or lie still in the calm waters and gentle, warm waves. Snorkel, mask, fins and safety vest are included. Waterproof color charts featuring the local fish and corals will be available while you are snorkeling. The pace you followed throughout the day will determine your remaining free time at the beach. On average, most groups are here for approximately one hour. At the appointed time, you will drive back to the cruise pier.
